This project was inspired by the Coach Barn at Shelburne Farms in VT. The cross gable which is used as an entry passage and screened porch in the summer serves to divide the living space on the first floor into distinct areas for a private home office while allowing the second floor to be fully connected. The timbers for the structure were selected from trees on site and sawn at a local mill.
